I have a podcast here that I did with John Kremer, the marketing guru. He invited me to share unusual places to sell books. Take a listen and hit those streets running: goo.gl/WGTF7

God didn’t promise us a rose garden. There will be times when we will have to face adversity.

I found that out yesterday. I had my yearly physical last Thursday, and my doctor said he was a little concerned about my kidney results and wanted further testing. I didn’t think too much of it, and did the ultra sound test on my kidneys yesterday. Then the reality came in.

What could this test show? Why was the doctor in such a hurry to have the test? (He had me moved ahead of several other patients.) Did he see cancer? Are my kidneys failing?

Worry is the dark room where negatives develop.”

That is a chapter title in my book, “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World.”  I let my worrying put me in a state of confusion, and wondering what was next in my life.

Well, my ultra sound test results came back, and I talked to my doctorabout it this morning.

I have multiple cysts in both kidneys that are benign. My doctor said that it is nothing threatening, and I just need to have follow-up tests to make sure those cysts are behaving themselves.

So, all that worrying was wasted on things that didn’t happen. Statistics say that 99% of what we worry about never happens. We just need to turn the other 01% over to God.

I didn’t apply the principles that I wrote about in my own book, “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World.” I need to sit down and read it again. 🙂

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And  above all (Doug) never, ever, give up!
