Military news…

‘This is horrible’: Homeless veterans are being buried in paupers’ graves in Columbus, Ga.

Columbus has long been a home to veterans of the military with Fort Moore, formerly Fort Benning, having been a part of the area for over 100 years. But some homeless veterans are dying alone and being buried in paupers’ graves.

WWII Naval Aviator and ‘The Price is Right’ host Bob Barker dies at 99
The man, the myth, the legend, Bob Barker of The Price is Right fame passed August 26, 2023, at the age of 99.

————————————————————————————

We often forget the heroics of our veterans in WWII. I love the story about a WWII pilot who shot down 6 Japanese bombers in one mission. He was declared an ace on his first mission.

The are many more stories that have been forgotten, but I interviewed four WWII veterans for my new book, and they are amazing. Each one had a near death experience. They didn’t do anything heroic, but put their lives on the line.

The book is called, Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life.
