I  have had a fabulous day, (so far.) I looked out my window this morning and an ugly “no trespassing,” sign was gone that was peeking over my back fence.

I told you a week or so ago, about my mistake in assuming my back neighbors needed help weeding their yard. They had some health issues, and didn’t have time to weed. I went there and did some weeding for them. Well, you would have thought I had attacked them with  a cannon or something. The very next day the signs lined my fence.

I had assumed they needed help, and they were telling me with the signs, “don’t tread on our property.”

I gave them a copy of my book, “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World,” and placed an apology note inside it.

This morning the signs were gone.  God is so good.

The second reason I am so happy today is that I got an answer to prayer about two hours ago. I had been praying constantly for a close friend to not only be healed, but that God would help him with the battle he was having with the pain pills, and addiction.

I can’t say yet that God has healed him from his illness, but I can say that he has won (for now) the battle with the pain killers. He emailed me a couple hours ago and reassured me he was OK in that department.

Two different things that I have been praying about, and God answered them both. Prayer can be a powerful thing. We often take it for granted. We should know that God is always listening, and expect a answer. He may not always answer it the way we expect, but He will answer.

What can we do as parents to be a good example to our children? We should realize that everything we do is being watch by them.

We are living in an, “Monkey see, monkey do,” world. If you are a kind and understanding parent, your children will probably be kind and understand. If you drink, your children will probably drink. If you take drugs, your children will probably take drugs. I think you get the picture.

Take an inventory of your life. What do you see? Is your life one you would be glad for your children to have?

I wasn’t always the perfect parent. Sometimes far from it, but I stuck to my Christian principles, and raised children that did the same. All three of my children are Christians, and they married Christian spouses.

You can say my job is done here on earth, but we are to be examples until we take our last breath.

“Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World,” is a book I wrote sharing some of the, not so wonderful, sides of my life, and how I coped.

I was once sitting in my Explorer and deciding if I wanted to check out of this hotel called earth. the book talks about that, and gives hope to those who may be near the same spot. It also helps those who may be struggling with, anxiety, fear, depression, self-doubt, addictions, hopelessness, and many other of the usual suspects.

You may fit into one of those afflictions, or know someone who is. This books has been helpful to hundreds of people who have sent me emails, called me, or met me in person telling me it helped them cope, and changed their lives.

The book is selling for $19.99 on the retail stores, but if you order off of this site, you will get the special price of $15.99. The shipping has been cut in half as well. A total savings of over $6.00.

When you order you will also receive a copy with an autograph plus a personal note.

If you are interested, click on the tab at the top of this page that says, “bookstore.” you will then see a description, and a copy of the cover. If you also want to see some great endorsements, click on…you got it…. “endorsements,” at the top as well. I did a post today on my blog at: www.dailysignsofhope.com, that I highly recommend you check out. It is about a mother that is sharing her diary with me that she wrote during the last days before her daughter’s death from liver disease. It is  a must read.

You would expect this mother to be writing her hurts and her anger. I know I would be wondering why God was taking my child away.

You may be saddened, and you may even cry, but I am betting you will be very uplifted once you have read the post to the end. Check it out.
