It’s Friday, and the weekend is creeping up on me. The weather is beautiful, and everything seems fine.

When things are going great, is that when we think we don’t need to pray? Many people feel that way. They only cry out to God when  a storm hits.

I have found that less storms hit when I talk to God everyday. I am nto saying that you will never face trials when you pray everyday. God allows some trials, so we will still depend on Him for protection.

I try to do my devotions everyday rain or shine;  good things happening or bad.

I find comfort just spending time with God, and praying for those I care about. It also forces me to think of others that I may not think about if I am not praying for them.

Prayer, and spending time with God is essential for Christian growth. Some people feel that going to church is enough, but to be growing spiritually, I feel that we need to spend time with God during the week as well.

Got to go…it is time for my devotions.

Remember:

You are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are not unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Have you ever had one of those days when nothing went right. I am having one of those days today.

On my blog, www.dailysignsofhope.com I have had nothing but trouble. I am trying to post a great blog by one of our guest bloggers, and the site keeps going in and out. I just get something done, and try to save and POW the site goes out and every I put in is gone. Ten it comes back in and I am able to get in t few more lines.

I had to leave there before my blood pressure explodes! I will go back later and try again.

We all face these kinds of days.

You thought you had plenty of time to get to work, and then there is a crash on the freeway and you are stuck. (I have been there.)

The bill you thought you paid and mailed was slid under some papers, and then you get a late notice. (This happened to me yesterday!)

The biggest fish you have ever seen is on your hook. You are ready to net it, and the line snaps. (This also has happened to me.)

I am sure you can relate. You have your own stories.

Through all these troubles you can be assured of one thing. No matter how small, or big our troubles are, God is there with us to help us through them.

I needed to hear that myself this morning. I will now finish this up and attack my blog again. I know with God and perseverance I can finish that post and move on.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

With God on our side who can be against us?

That is a verse that many know and think about, but do they really believe it.?

We go about our daily lives facing the storms of life on our own. We often fail. We think we can “wing it,” and still survive.

Why be drowning in he muck and mire of our daily routine, when we can have someone on our side fighting with us?

God is always there. He is always willing to hold our hand and guide us. Why ignore that and think we are all powerful and can take on the world? Dr. Phil would say, “How is that working for you?” It isn’t!

Stop trying to take on the rat race. Even rats rest. Let God give you rest in Him, and let Him carry the heavy burdens of life.

Remember:

You are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are not unloved..

And above all…never, ever, give up!
