I have two of my granddaughters visiting this week. One is 14 and the other is 12. I may sound like I ma bragging, but they are very talented. Katie the oldest, plays the piano with great ease. The music is almost flawless. She also sings. She had a voice that, as it matures, will come through alike a beautiful song bird.

My other granddaughter Anna, plays the piano, sings, plays guitar, and the flute. She did a solo singing performance at a concert while playing her guitar.

Now to my main point. We all have talents. God gave each and ebery one of us a talent that he wants us to use to glorify His name.

You feel you don’t have any talents? Yes, you do. It may not n=be where you are a professional singer, or even a top piano player.

Think about even something like being an usher at your local church like I am. I am blessed to be an usher. I have had situations where I was able to help someone that was in distress.

Here is just one example:

I was passing out the collection bags to my area, when a woman handed me a note. I was very busy and didn’t take time to read it right away. When we finished with the offering, I read it. The woman wrote, “Please help me! I am desperate!”

I knew exactly what to do. I went to find “The God Squad.” That is what I affectionately call the Pastors who are in the sanctuary during the service.

I found one up in the front row. I went clear out of my way to get to him so it didn’t look too out of place. I handed him the note, and he followed me back to my area. I pointed out the woman in distress, and he waited for her after the service, They went into a quite room right off of the sanctuary.

I was told later that she accepted the LORD right on the spot.

This didn’t take much from me, but using my talent as an usher, and knowing what to do. brough another child into the Kingdom.

Look for your talent. Use it for the glory of God. Don’t think your talent is too big OR too small.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all..never, ever, give up!
