Suicides By US Veterans Are Still Tragically High

Despite the increased awareness of PTSD and other mental illnesses, despite a push by VA hospitals to do more outreach and offer better mental health care, and despite new technologies that aim to help our vets recover from mental illness, the number of suicides among veterans remains high.

Today I go to have my toenails clipped. It’s called old age. I can not bend down enough to clip my own. The old soldier is now 84, and feeling it. No war wounds, but pain from a jeep accident I had back in 1961. I am still trying to get the VA to give me compensation for that.

Never give up if you feel you should be getting compensation. I can see that they stall, and are hoping you will die before you get your just do. Don’t let them do that.

The are many stories about the military that have been forgotten, but I interviewed four WWII veterans for my new book, and they are amazing. Each one had a near death experience. They didn’t do anything heroic, but put their lives on the line.

The book is called, Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life.

President Biden continues his program of turning his back on the military.

Doesn’t make ant sense.

He should embrace the military for their sacrifice and commitment.

Shortness of breath is making me pretty weak.

I hope it clears up soon. I will be calling my cardiologist if it continues.

One of the many things that bothers me is the mass amount of PTSD victims there are in the military. I

have had several interviews for my upcoming book, Signs of Hope for the Military: In an Out of the Trenches of Life, with veterans, and many are struggling with PTSD.

I try to give them support, but the ongoing answer is that they can take care if it themselves. This is not true. They all should be getting help to show them the way through their storms.

There is no shame in getting help. You don’t have to be a macho man.

Things seem to have gone very smoothly in all of the state capitals on Wednesday. However, there were massive rioting in Seattle, and my my home state city of Portland, Oregon. It was violent.

I am not sure what the strategy is for the rioters, but I am guessing that they will strike in other places after the National Guard leaves.

President Biden wasted no time in trying to erase all the good that Trump had for our country. On his first day he signed 25 or more executive orders to do changes.

He is working fast to form his type of government, and we will have to see how the people accept it.

Again, I am reminding you of the changes that will be coming starting February 1st. I am hoping you will like it. It will be more personal and directed more to veterans, and current military.

There is far too may suicides in the service. Over 22 of our brothers and sisters take their own lives EVERY DAY!

The new format will concentrate on reaching out to those suffering with PTSD, TBI, depression, wounds, etc. They need our support and share with them that we have their back.

I will still have the latest military news, and current news in our country, but the rest will be for our veterans and current service members.
