Oh my aching back. No I really mean my aching back! I was changing my mother’s sheets on her bed two days ago, and tweaked my back. I thought it was getting better last night, but in my sleep I must of turned the wrong way and tweaked it again. The pain is back, and I am struggling again.

Does this happen to you? Do you have times when you have faced a storm, and you make it through that storm, but later it comes back to haunt you again?

Life is not a bed of roses. Life is not apple pie, and Chevrolet.  It is about the ups and downs of our daily routine. Sometimes we are rolling along fine, and other days we don’t feel like getting up and facing the world that day.

This is called a roller coaster ride. It is not always fun and games. We need to always keep God in our thoughts, and prayers going up to Him daily.

Yes, God allows the storms, but He is also there to help calm them.

My back feels much better when I put my heating pad there, and let it do its stuff. God is our warm fuzzy. God loves each and every one of us. He is just a prayer away.

With God on our side, who can be against us.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Wow! What a response for the last post. 5,099 hits for one day is a record that will be hard to beat. What was the title? “We Never Have to Carry Our Sins With us.”

People wanted to know how to get the burden of sins out of their lives. Sins can pull you down like a huge magnate. It doesn’t matter who you are. You could be a teacher, doctor, garbage truck driver, soldier, or a pizza delivery guy.

Satan doesn’t care what you do. He just wants to control you. He uses guilt to push you down, and he hopes you stay down.  He delights is seeing you in pain. He delights in seeing you ready to give-up. I know I have been there.

I was at the end of my rope, and ready to be placed on Satan’s trophy wall. He had me right where he wanted me. I was Sitting in my Ford Explorer ready to check out of this hotel called earth.

That is where God came to my rescue. I should have known He was there all the time waiting for me to cry out to Him. That is exactly what I did. I said, “GOD I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

There was an instant calmness in my Explorer. It was as if God was saying, ” IT’s about time you came back to me.”

Yes, I was and the end of that thin rope, but what I didn’t know was that I was really holding on to the hem of God’s robe.

There is never a time when God isn’t near you. If He feels far away, guess who moved.

Always depend on God to see you through your storms and trials. It is when those storms come that He is nearest. He allows them to happen, but He helps calm them.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

We are very lucky in that we have life that God has given us. We can enjoy the many creations He has done, and get our nourishment from the food He provides in the fields.

Sometimes we aren’t so lucky. There are storms and trials that come our way. Just today, I learned that one of my good friends had a stroke. It was unexpected. I visited him at the hospital and he was upbeat, but bewildered by the chain of events. He wasn’t depressed, but it was one of those “why me” times.

Also today, my nephew had to go in for a fourth surgery on his neck, because staff infection attacked his neck after a routine neck surgery where he should have been back to work in a few days. He is a young man, and yet he is fighting for his life right now.

Think about these two situations. Can you see that we never know when the storms may hit? We may feel everything is wonderful and then the darkness comes.

Be prepared for the trials that throw us into the muck and mire. Always remember that God is always there for us. he will allow the storms, but He helps calm them.

Stand strong in the Lord, because with Him on our side who can be against us?

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!
