I have told you this before, but I live near the dreaded city of Portland, Oregon. There have been over 90 straight days that rioting has taken place. Buildings are being burnt down, and many of them are owned by black people.

President Trump has again said he will send help if asked. The very weak mayor of Portland, isn’t interested. He actually admitted yesterday that the rioting must stop. He is saying that after 90+ days of terror??

——————————————————————————-

September is National Suicide Prevention month. This, of course, is dear to my heart. I have too many friends who have lost loved ones.

The suicides are extremely high in the military. Every day over 22 brothers and sisters take their own lives. That is very sad. They aren’t reaching out for help when they need it.

We are celebrating 75 years since the end of the WWII war. There were many personale who lost their lives defending our country. Here are just a few numbers:

  1. Army- 11,727
  2. Navy- 6,266 (1,518 in one day at Pearl Harbor)
  3. Marines- 16, 025

This is just a parcial of the total. There were pilots, and other airforce groups who died.

Here are some actual thoughts about the end of the war, of some who fought:

“I was quite happy when the war was over. I knew I would get home.”

John Stokes, Navy armed guard, SS Louis Weule, Manila, Philippines.

“I was on the scope of the deck, and we were about 200 yards off the Missouri. I watched MacArthur and all the Japanese sign the papers. I was so glad to see it was over.

W.Rex Kocher Navy fire control 2nd class, USS Wedderburn Tokyo Bay, escorting the USS Missouri.

I am sitting on my patio in the backyard. It is 89 right now. I am in the shade, but still feeling hot. Can’t be in the house, because there is a cleaning lady working in there.

I have talked to you before about Portland, Oregon. It is in my home state. I am embarrassed of what is going on.

Yesterday a little old lady had paint thrown into her face and was harassed by a jerk that was three times her size. Such a sick person to pick on little old ladies.

More and more veterans are getting involved with the rioting. They are there to try to stop the rioting, not escalating them. They are in harm’s way again, in a different way. However, several “Anarchist,” got bloodied up, and went running.

The Oregon State Police are now trying to stop the rioting. It has been 70 straight days of rioting there. I am sure that by now the rioters don’t even know what they are rioting for. They just like to intimidate, and harass.

I am connecting up with many veterans on Facebook lately. I get five or six new friends who are veterans each day. If you what like to hook up with me, just go to Facebook and put Doug Bolton in the search area. I would be honored to connect with you.

In March of 2001, I was the end of my rope, I was hanging on for dear life. I was out of control and tired of being here on this hotel called earth. I was in my Ford Explorer, and crying my eyes out. I turned into a school parking away from everyone and contemplated ending my life. I told God, “I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!”

Suddenly there was a calmness inside of the vehicle. I stopped crying and felt much better all of a sudden. It was if God was saying, “It’s about time you came back to me. Now let me lead you the rest of the way. “

That changed my life! I drove home and decided I needed to reach out to other people that were desperate like me and give them hope. My first book was published called, “Signs of Hope; Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World.” It later won a national award, from the Readers Favorite Awards.

How are you doing?

Are the days long and hard to handle? Are there times you feel you are not coping?

You have many fellow veterans here on this site. Some of them are going through what you are going through. They have your six, so reach out to them.

If it is too overbearing like it was for me, there is a toll free number to call 24/7. There are highly trained counselors there to help you.

When Will the Rioting, Shooting, and Injuries Stop?

I just got home from having the oil changed on my car. Different experience. I got there and there were people everywhere. They all had masks, so that was good. I turned my keys over to the service guy and sat down.

I tried to fill my time with my phone, but even that got boring. I went for a walk and found a machine to buy some food. That was a bust because I didn’t see that the chips were dipped in vinegar. It was too strong. Went directly to the dessert which was a Snickers bar. That calmed me down.

I know…not a good ! However, one can’t be choosy at a time like this. They did the oil change and I drove home. Pretty boring right?

That is what I see a lot on Facebook. Someone telling me what they had for lunch. REALLY?? Do I need to know what they had for lunch?

Anyway, I was so glad to have a morning where I wasn’t watching TV and seeing the rioting, statues being tore down, and shootings going on in our country.

It doesn’t seem to be getting any better. I am near Portland, Oregon, and all Hell has broken out there. WHY? Because the weak leaders are doing nothing. They even are getting mad because President Trump sent Federal Agents in to help stop the mess. The Mayor is suing Trump for sending them saying they are making it worse.

You and I both know that President Trump isn’t worried about that. He is worried about the police getting injured, and federal buildings being destroyed.

Should we send Federal Agents into other places like Chicago, NYC, Atlanta?

Let me know what you are thinking in the comments section below. None of your comments will be seen by the public unless you allow me to do that.

My next post will be full of places for you to go to get military discounts. They will be for anything you can think of. Do not miss it.
