I am hearing reports that people are purposely starting the wild fires on the west coast. They have already aressted two men in different parts of Oregon for arson. If one person dies from their stupidity, they should get life in prison.

The wild fires are causing many deaths and burning millions of acres. Complete towns have been wiped out in Oregon. Four towns are gone. One was a big vacation area that was burnt to the ground. Hundreds pf home destroyed. I have one neighbor on my street that has two of her children staying with her, becasue their homes are gone.

Still hearing Fake News claiming that President Trump thinks the military is a bunch of losers, when that has already been proven false. They will do whatever they can to try to make him look bad.

I so admire him for standing strong through all of this Fake News debocle. he is the best presedint for us right now. he is facing the Pandemic, rioting and looting, wild fires in the west, and the democrats creating tons of lies about him. He stands there and takes it like a man. He is in a storm and yet he faces it head on.

The was another death at a military base, and this was not at Ft hood. It was the fourth one this year at Ft Jackson. There has also been many deaths at Ft. Hood. Got to find out what is going on. These are our brothers and sisters that are dying.

I have been battling the VA trying to get compensation. I have two ligit problems I have received while in the military. One is thaat I had to wear ear phones twelve hours a day since I was in the Army Security Agency, and we had to monitor airways for breaches of security. They was often a lot of static going into my ears.

Later on, just before I was suposed to get out of the service, I was in a Jeep accident. I was thrown out of the jeep and landed on a bolder back first. I was knocked unconscious from the whip lash i receive, and woke up later in a military tent on bivwac. I woke up screaming from the pain in my whole back. I was quickly given some morphine and I was better. They never did exrays of my back when I left the military. I have had three back and neck surgeries since.

It is September 11, 2020. 19 years ago today our nation was attacked. Many lives were lost. There were many heroes created on that day and the days after. Flight 93 was a plane load of heroes who gave up their lives to save many others.

I remember that day very clearly. My wife and I were at my son’s home in LaPine, Oregon. We had the TV on. It was inturrupted with the shocking news about the deadly attack. We both were stunned. We had a boy in the service and we feared he would be put in harm’s way. We couldn’t do anything, but leave and go home, even though we were supposed to be there several days.

We should never, ever, forget that day. It changed our lives forever.

I pray that you didn’t lose a loved one on that day. Many families did. We as a nation came together quickly after that day. Young men and women inlisted in the military to help fight the dangers that these events can cause.

i am watching on TV right now a soldier receiving the Medal of Honor. He saved over 70 lives in one operation. His courage and determination was far beyond the call of dutry.

There are so many other stories like this. Our veterans, and current military do not fear for their lives. They fear for those loved ones back home who may be in danger.

Update on the disaster in Portland, Oregon.

Governor Brown asked the Sheriff’s Department to come help with the rioting. They have said no, because the arrested people are turned loose and not prosecuted.

She asked the State Police to do the same. They have to because she is the boss, but they had the Feds deputize them so when they made an arrest they will have Federal charges.

She doesn’t have much control over anything.

The Mayor of Portland had to move out of his home because rioters found where he lived, and started fires. He thought they loved him. Wrong!!!

I am getting tired of having to report about Portland. But it is from my home state and I am extremely upset with the lack of force there is to clear this mess up.

I see that the military has backed off of promoting black people to Generals. What’s up with that!??You should promote because of being merited, not the color of your skin. Got to stop.

I have been sharing interviews of veterans for my up coming book, Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the trenches of Life.

Today I am going to share three short stories about members of my own family:

I had three Uncles who fought in WWII. One was a Seabee; another was an infantry man, and the third was a tanker.

I tried to interview two of them, but they were so shell shocked, (PTSD) they didn’t want to share much.

So I was share what I know about each of them:

My Uncle Claude, was a Seabee. They were critical people in WWII. They went in before the troops and built brides, and roads. They made the traveling much better for the troops. They were very much in harms way, and I am proud to be related to him..

My Uncle Norton, was in the infantry. One day he was on the battle field in France. His unit was over run by the Germans. Many men were killed. My uncle was wounded, but he “played dead,” while the Germans came through to finish killing anyone who was still alive. He made it even through one German was very close. He received the Purple Heart.

My Uncle Dwight was a tanker. He was the head man in a three man crew. They decided to stop and rest one day on the battle field. He opened the hatch to let some fresh air in. That was a big mistake. A Japanese soldier, climbed up on that tank and threw a grenade in to the tank. My uncle’s best friend was killed instantly, and my uncle and the other soldier were injured. Uncle Dwight, did not want to talk about it, because he had his buddy killed because of his decision. He received the Purple Heart.

Those three men are my personal heroes. They gave me the thoughts of joining the Army. I wanted to honor them.
