What a last few days I have had:

  • Last Friday I was changing my mother’s sheets on her bed, and I twisted my back for the third time this month.
  • I had two nuclear type stress tests last week.  I will know the results and what my cardiologist found plus what he may want to do next.
  • My mother is failing in her health the last two days. She has been passing out often. She has been on hospice care, and the hospice nurse thinks they were actually mini strokes.

Since I am being bombarded with many trials the last few days, I want to share some thoughts I found on my trials during my devotions the last few weeks:

  • God meets our needs in amazing ways, and we can be involved in other’s lives in the same way. We can be agents of hope. In other words, through my own trials I can help others.
  • I can be assured that God is active and at work in my life, including my trials, my church, my community, and my world, bringing His purposes and His plan into completion. I learned from this that not matter what I face God has a purpose, and it is a part of His plan.
  • The wonderful amazing grace, that the Lord has extended to me must be what I model and practice in my relationships with others. Again, I should never be angry or upset because of my trails.

Do I have reason to be upset? I guess so. This last week has been a huge burden on me. The stress has been pulling me down like a huge magnate.

But, I am not. I know God loves me, and I know that all things work for the good of those who believe.

Never let circumstances dictate your life. Keep a steady walk with the Lord, even through the storms and trials.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Thoughts just for you…

Have you spent hours praying, and don’t seem to have answers? Do you think God isn’t listening?

I have been there myself. I have prayed for years for some people, and no results. then out of the blue a person I have been rpaying for changes their life and accepts the Lord.

I have heard similar stories from friends. God has perfect timing. He never makes mistakes, or ignores you.

Sometimes God doesn’t answer prayers right away, because he is waiting for you to lose the pride and impatience you are living with.

Never assume God isn’t listening. He is always there. He always listens, and will answer your prayer in one of three ways:

  • OK got for it.
  • Not now.
  • I have other plans for you.

All of those are answers to prayer.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

Above all…never, ever,  give up!

Border’s Books Claims Bankruptcy

I just had some bad news today. Borders Books is claiming bankruptcy. I did a signing at my local Borders store in Salem, Oregon on November 6th. I have not received payment for  the books I sold there yet. It has been over ninety days.

The manager told me on the phone that another company has taken over paying the bills, and I will have to fill out a claim to try to get my payment from Borders. It doesn’t look good, but God is in charge, and what ever happens, it was meant to be.

I will keep you posted each day on the progress of this continuing saga.

Think on this:

  • All things work to the good to those who believe.
  • Life will go on if something happens in your life that is devastating. God has a plan , even through this storm.
  • Those who persevere, are the ones who will have many crowns when they are in heaven.
  • It is always darkest just before the morning dawn.
  • Wait on the LORD, because He is with you always.
