“Another day another dollar. ” That is what I heard from relatives back in the 40’s. It meant that there wasn’t much money to go around. It was tough times, but there were many heroes from that time. They were called, “The great generation.” I had three uncles from that generation that fought in WWII. Two of them earned Purple Hearts. They are the ones who inspired me to join the military myself.
