Have you had someone hurt you with words? Do you feel they should be punished?

That is a common thinking process for many of us. When someone hurts us we feel the urge to get even, or try to hurt them back.

We tend to judge them as someone who will never see God or go to heaven because of their actions.

This is where we need to remember that God is the final judge. he will have His Son Jesus Christ judging people on that final day. Everything we do is written in the book of life. Every action we performed, good or bad, will be there.

Those people who wronged us will be judged, but so will we.

Our task on this earth is to forgive and forget. We shouldn’t be holding grudges against others. Let God decide on their actions at the appointed time.

Remember:

You are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are not unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Do You feel the World is Against you? Think About Jesus.

Thoughts just for you…

Do you fee like the world has turned against you? Does there seem to be a cloud always hanging over your head. have you been over burdened with illnesses, etc?

You aren’t alone. I have been there considering I have had six major surgeries.

When I start having a pity party that no one likes to come to, I start thinking about some of the people in the Bible and what they had to go through.

What about Paul? He was shipwrecked more than once. He was beaten many times. He was even left for dead after people stoned him. He was in prison much of his life.

What about David? He was so afraid for his life, he had to spend some time hidden in a cave.

What about Joseph? His brothers hated him so much they sold him into slavery.

Then, of course, what about Jesus? He was beaten with a whip that had nails on the ends of it. He was spit upon and cursed at. He had to wear a wreath of thorns on His head. He had to carry His own death cross to the hill. He had to see His family mourning below Him from the cross. He had spikes driven into His feet and hands.

When I think of the torturous things so many of the great people in the Bible had to go through, especially our Lord and Savior, my little aches and pains seem so meaningless. My trials and storms are calm compared to others who suffered for me.

Try to put your trials and storms into perspective, and be thankful that you are still able to read this, and live a good life.

God is always there for you, no matter what your circumstances are.

Remember:

Yuu are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are not unloved,

And above all…never, ever, give up!

There are many way to walk the path of this life. We can seek riches, and strive to find ways to make money, not matter the obstacles are, or we can share our wealth with the less fortunate.

James from the Bible teaches to not show favoritism to the wealthy:

  • It’s inconsistent with Christ’s teachings.
  • It results from evil thoughts.
  • It insults people made in God’s image.
  • It’s a by-product of selfish motives.
  • It shows a lack of mercy to those less fortunate.
  • It’s hypocritical.
  • It’s a sin.

We often treat well dressed, impressive-looking people better then someone who looks shabby. We do this because we could rather identify with successful people than with apparent failures.

Why is it wrong to judge a person by his or her economic status?

Wealth may indicate intelligence, wise decisions, and  hard work. On the other hand, it may mean only that a person had the good fortune of being born into a wealthy family. It could even be the sign of greed, dishonesty, and selfishness.

Why do some people go this route of ignoring the poor?

  1. Poverty makes us feel uncomfortable. We don’t want to face our responsibilities to those who have less than we do.
  2. We want to be wealthy too, and we hope to sue the rich person as a means to that end.
  3. We want the rich person to join our church  and help support it financially.

All of these motives are selfish.

God doesn’t promise us  earthly rewards or riches; in fact Christ call us to be ready to suffer for Him and give up everything in order to hold on to eternal life. besides, we will have untold riches in eternity if we are faithful in our present life.

God loves the poor. That doesn’t  mean the the rich will automatically go to hell and the poor to heaven. Poor people are more aware  of their powerlessness. This helps them to be more aware of their need to seek salvation as the means to find their wealth in heaven.

We need to love one another, no matter what the wealth level is for each person.

Remember:

You are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are not unloved.

Above all… never,  ever,  give up!
