Endorsements for My New Book, “Signs of Hope for the Military”

Started keeping track of new subscribers on June 1st. On that day we had 8,093. Today we are up to 8,224. What a wonderful increase. I am so honored to have all of you here.

My last post I shared with you the outline of my upcoming book, Signs of Hope for the military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life.

It is a good post to go back to if you are new.

Tonight I thought I would share with you some of the outstanding endorsements my book has been receiving. I will only share a couple tonight:

Most of us are fortunate not to have experienced the stress of combat.  Words cannot adequately define the grinding daily pressure of knowing that every time you step outside the gate the enemy will try to kill you and your buddies.  You are constantly alert, on point; but how can you protect your team from the instantaneous blast of the IED?  You are part of a highly-trained team poised to execute, but what has prepared you for the mental toll of being on edge every moment.  The skills that helped you survive….have taken a toll and are now working against you when you return home.  What do you do now; where do you turn?  Whether you are dealing with PTSD, TBI, depression, homelessness, or recovering from wounds; Doug Bolton has answers…..this book has answers!

Although Signs of Hope For the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life wasn’t written for men only, it brings honesty and openness to veterans, and military personnel about feeling ok to express fears and emotional challenges in a difficult world.  US Army Retired Veteran, Mr. Douglas Bolton brings his personal stories to life in a way we all can relate to and gives a big “you’re ok” for revealing our shortcomings and encourages us to open up and talk.  A must read for those seeking healing and forgiveness from ourselves and those wanting a fresh look on life.

There are many more. I will share some in future posts.

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday. Went to the Oregon coast, and had dinner. Sat by a huge window and was able to see the sun set while I enjoyed my dinner. Doesn’t get much better than that.

We all know that we don’t always have special days. Some days seem like eternity. They have several storms come through to ruin your day. I know you have been there. I certainly have. You turn down the wrong street and then are late to work. You forgot you have steaks on the BBQ and now you have black  squares of nothing. The dog bites the neighbor, and they are suing.

I am sure you have many other stories to share. What does this do to people? I know what it does! It causes anxiety, fear, depression, self-doubt, low self-esteem, and even hopelessness.

You don’t have to let any of these afflictions overcome you.

You know that you have a heavenly Father who will be there to hold your hand through all the storms. He doesn’t stop them, He is just there to help calm them.

I have written a book called, “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World,” that speaks to all of these afflictions and more. It has chapters on persistence, prayer, and perseverance. It covers ways to cope, and how to be strong during the trials of life.

What can we do as parents to be a good example to our children? We should realize that everything we do is being watch by them.

We are living in an, “Monkey see, monkey do,” world. If you are a kind and understanding parent, your children will probably be kind and understand. If you drink, your children will probably drink. If you take drugs, your children will probably take drugs. I think you get the picture.

Take an inventory of your life. What do you see? Is your life one you would be glad for your children to have?

I wasn’t always the perfect parent. Sometimes far from it, but I stuck to my Christian principles, and raised children that did the same. All three of my children are Christians, and they married Christian spouses.

You can say my job is done here on earth, but we are to be examples until we take our last breath.

“Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World,” is a book I wrote sharing some of the, not so wonderful, sides of my life, and how I coped.

I was once sitting in my Explorer and deciding if I wanted to check out of this hotel called earth. the book talks about that, and gives hope to those who may be near the same spot. It also helps those who may be struggling with, anxiety, fear, depression, self-doubt, addictions, hopelessness, and many other of the usual suspects.

You may fit into one of those afflictions, or know someone who is. This books has been helpful to hundreds of people who have sent me emails, called me, or met me in person telling me it helped them cope, and changed their lives.

The book is selling for $19.99 on the retail stores, but if you order off of this site, you will get the special price of $15.99. The shipping has been cut in half as well. A total savings of over $6.00.

When you order you will also receive a copy with an autograph plus a personal note.

If you are interested, click on the tab at the top of this page that says, “bookstore.” you will then see a description, and a copy of the cover. If you also want to see some great endorsements, click on…you got it…. “endorsements,” at the top as well. I hope you will at least check it out, and see why “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World,”  has helped so many people.
