Light, fast and lethal is what the Marine Corps expects from its light armored reconnaissance battalions, and last week it put forward what it expects from the next generations of combat vehicles.

It’s a rare treat when a movie or TV show actually gets a military uniform right, and it’s even rarer when that uniform that hasn’t even been adopted yet. But somehow, the animated comedy series “South Park” pulled it off for Space Force.

The Navy has little direct evidence tying an accused sailor to a fire that destroyed a $1.4 billion warship last year, But that did not stop prosecutors from calling several witnesses to talk about how he could be a cocky braggart at times.

America’s three newest Medal of Honor recipients have very different stories, but there are a few things all three share: a relentless focus on the mission, an undying loyalty to the soldiers they served with, and an unhesitating willingness to sacrifice themselves for others.

Because people don’t like you doesn’t mean you did what the government has accused him of … In fact, it makes you a target.” That’s from Gary Barthel, the defense lawyer for Seaman Apprentice Ryan S. Mays, the sailor who the Navy has accused of setting the fire that destroyed the USS Bonhomme Richard last year.

“You’ve seen this airplane come and go countless times since the beginning of the deployment but this time your name is on the manifest. It is your ‘freedom bird.'” That’s from Jonathan Lenz, who wrote about the emotional roller coaster of finally going home after a deployment.

I have been sharing endorsements for my new upcoming book, Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life. It will be sent to the publisher in January. Here is another endorsement:

In the current conditions of our military, there is a need to find realistic affordable sources to reach out and help our veterans and current military. Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of life, is that source. Doug Bolton spends many chapters on showing the veterans and military ways to cope in this not so friendly world.  Sadly, he feels and knows of the pain from his volunteer service and sacrifices for our great country first hand. Being a seasoned registered nurse and a battlefield Air Force flight nurse, I have seen many young men and women coming home sick, injured wounded and highly depressed. This book is a must for many. I highly recommend this book without hesitation to all those who have served and currently serving.  I am also advocating for the loved ones and families to read this read, as well.

I am close to blowing up from not releasing steam.

I have some serious doubts about our leadership in Congress, and even the White House.

Nancy Pelosi rammed a bill through the house that will destroy our country in many ways.

Most that it will shove us into Socialism. The bill H.R. 1, is meant to abolish the Filibuster. We have had the Filibuster for years, and even the Democrats have used it to ram things through the Senate. Now they want to get rid of it because they have such a close vote in the Senate a tie would many that V.P. Harris would make the deciding vote.

They would then ram many anti American bills through the same way.

I usually do not get on my soapbox and scream, but I am now.

Please contact your senators from your state and ask them to vote no on this horrible bill. It is anti American.

That was a heavy rant. Sorry!

I have another endorsement for you. My last post I had Steve Durgin, the CEO of one of the greatest non profit charities for veterans, called, Victory for Veterans.

I also had Colonel Dona Marie Iversen a retired nurse who was a fight nurse in charge of surgeries while flying wounded to the hospitals.

Now I am going to share an endorsement from a daughter who lost her military father to suicide.

Learn from the best, Douglas Bolton, U.S. Army Veteran who has written a great book for all veterans, active duty service members of all branches, military families, friends and non-veterans. It provides a thorough understanding, knowledge, and the real stories among those who have served and their families that compliment today’s American Veterans.  Signs of Hope for the Military: In an Out of the Trenches of Life can make a big difference in today’s understanding of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and its affects.  As the daughter of Vietnam Marine Veteran that suffered all of his life with PTSD and then finally ended his own life, it will make a big difference in your life as you read the personal stories.  This author does a great job of creating a sense of urgency by calling it a “must-read,” and ends with a powerful “call to action” for the reader.
