Had a wonderful Easter with my family.

All my children were there. Lots of good food. Lots of laughter and story telling about each other. No masks, and lots of hugging.

We must not forget

those brothers and sisters who had to spend Easter out in the cold, with not much good to eat. They are sacrificing their time to keep us free.

President Biden

is quickly turning both parties against him. His policies are causing havoc. He made the Major League Offices move the All Star Game away from Atlanta, because of the new legislation the state had put in place. It was strict rules on voting, and Biden didn’t like it.

He seems to be causing his own demise.

During my deployment to South Korea,

I wasn’t happy when the holidays came. I wasn’t with my family,

I so appreciate those who are serving during these times.

Update on my new book, Signs of Hope for the Military: In an Out of the Trenches of life.

Just need to clean up some interviews

The more I see the results of them the more I am sure you will like them.

I am also adding a new appendix

It will share some titles of good books for the military. There are some outstanding books that are very accurate and have amazing true stories.

Then it will be off to the publisher.

I have one picked out that I have already checked out. They will do a fabulous job.

I hope to have it ready for fall this year.

What an Easter weekend I had. I started out being optimistic about being “good,” with my eating and then completely failed on Saturday, the day before Easter.

We had a wonderful setting for the gathering. We were on the Oregon Coast, and it was a perfect day. There were no clouds; a little windy, but warm.

Then the family started coming. One had my favorite bean casserole. Another had ham that was  perfect. Then there was the spaghetti, made just right. Of course the scalloped potatoes.

Before we ate the main course, there were the appetizers. There was shrimp with some wonderful cocktail sauce. The deviled eggs were beyond description, and the homemade dip for the relish dish, was outstanding.

After I pigged out on all of that there were the desserts! Apple pie; perfect brownies; cupcakes, and chocolate pudding pie.

So, my dream of being good lasted only as long as I didn’t see the food. Once I saw it I fell apart quickly.

That happens to all of us in our daily lives. We “promise” to not sin, but when the temptation comes we often fall apart. We want the main dish of life , and the dessert as well.

Temptation for food, or our own desires in our lives are hard, at best, to conquer. That is when we need to turn to God. We need to depend on Him. If we think we can go life without God, Dr. Phil would ask, “How is that working for you?”

Always keep God on your side. When He is on you side, who can be against you?

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

I haven’t posted for almost two months. I have had adversity in its highest form, and it has slowed me down.

I lost my mother on February 1st. She was 95 years old, but there is still a time of grieving when you lose a loved one. I also had some health issues with my heart. I have A-Fib, and a damaged heart from a previous heart attack.

I also lost a dear friend within hours of my mother’s death.

I am back now, and still strong with the Lord.  All this adversity seemed to make me even stronger. It made me think of how short a life time we have on this earth, and that we need be thankful for every day we have.

As I mentioned up in the lead in area my book, “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World, has been out in eBook form for about a year. However, we just lowered the price from $4.99 to $2.99. That is quite a savings. Please check it out by clicking on the Amazon icon on the right. Think of Easter coming and how it could help many through the storms of life.
