The continuing saga of my latest health issue, will get some help tomorrow. I will be getting a steroid shot in my right hip that is supposed to cut out the pain. I will let you know on Friday how that turned out.

It seems to me that a few of us older veterans are getting forgotten. There is lots of news coverage about the current military personnel.

I am not whining, but we need to never forget those who forged the path we are now on in this country.

I feel like I am back in basic training! I have been assigned to a PT specialist, and an occupational therapist. One of them is coming at 2:00pm today. Still sore from yesterday’s workout.

I am wanting the help, but it is just the beginning, and that is the hardest part.

American-made Patriot missiles arrived in Ukraine last week and military spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said Sunday on Ukrainian television that some have already gone into battlefield service.

Those who like war are enjoying our world right now. Sudan has exploded into a full war. Ukraine is on going.

Frankly my feeling is that there shouldn’t be any wars. They cause death and misery.

Why is it that movie stars love to play a soldiers role in a movie? I read an account by an actor that said, “I feel more patriotic.” Well, my response is that there a many soldiers in the military who go to the front line and are dodging real bullets Some never make it home. Now that is patriotic.

I have an interview coming up in the book that will knock your socks off. He is a Vietnam veteran and opened fully to his time in vietnam. This one interview should be enough for you to buy the book.

He was wounded three times, and still went back to more times to Vietnam. You only had to go one time, and he went three.

I have started planning for a huge book signing event in my hometown. It will be at the convention center. I am reaching out to find some sponsors to pay for the room. The room holds 160 people. I will have guest speakers, and have several WWII veterans there.

I hope to have a winery come to sell their wine and give away free drinks. I also hope the winery will donate some bottles to give away at the tables.
