Why do I need to go to a writer’s conference? (I thought you would never ask!)
Writer conferences have many benefits that some people may not know about. Let me mention a few:
- You can have your manuscript critiqued by professional editors or agents for free.
- You can have appointments with those same agents, and editors, plus many publishers.
- You can go to many workshops that teach you some skills to be a better writer.
- You can sit and talk with other writers and get feedback from them on how they were successful.
- You can hear highly successful authors give key note speeches on their approach to success.
Going to a writer’s conference has too many benefits for you to pass them up. Try to fit one in this year.

Do you try to hid your past? Are you ashamed of something you have done. I have been there. I thought I was worthless and had a past that was not very glamorous. I was having many pity parties that no one wanted to come to.
How can we keep on going forward, when we keep living in the past? We can’t. How can we clear up our past? We just need to ask God to forgive any past action that is wrong in His eyes, and turn them all over to Him.
Once you have asked God to forgive you, He erases all your sins and negative past out of His books. They are gone forever.
You have a fresh start, and can concentrate on pleasing God for the rest of your life, and you can look for a bright future.
Remember:
You are never alone.
You are never unloved.
You are never forsaken.
And above all…never, ever, give up!
