I have a podcast here that I did with John Kremer, the marketing guru. He invited me to share unusual places to sell books. Take a listen and hit those streets running: goo.gl/WGTF7

I had an interesting email yesterday. A lady I have never met sent me an email telling me about her new book she thinks everyone should buy. I considered it a spam type email, but did send back and email congratulating the lady who sent it, on having a book published. I also told her I had a books published as well.

She sent me an email back and said to let her know how to order my book and she would buy one. So I sent her an email back, and we are meeting to exchange books.

This taught me that even when you think you have spam, you may want to at least read it to make sure. I made a sale, and will have a book on retiring that I just may benefit from.

With the recent events of shooting in the United States, I am left with tears, and confusion. I don’t understand the mentality of someone who thinks they need to kill as many as they can, and then kill themselves as well. I wonder why they don’t just end their own life, and not destroy so many others.

Is that a wrong way to think on this? Am I being too graphic and unfeeling?

These kind of people need help. They are the silent killers who have hatred for everyone around them and themselves.

In many cases the people who knew the attackers, were in shock and didn’t think the killer was that bad off.

We ALL need to look for signs in those we know for a possible hurting human being that we need to help ASAP. Here are some signs to look for:

  • The person is withdrawing from those around them.
  • They have a change in personality.
  • They often  talk about people they don’t like and joke how it would be good is something happens to them.
  • They have increasing more trouble controlling their emotions.
  • They play violent games on their video games.
  • They seem depressed more than they seem happy.

I am certainly no expert and these traits you can find in many books, and from a doctor. However, we see the traits, but what do we do about it?

Again, there are reports of the people who knew the attackers saying that the person was acting strange , and was saying they wanted to kill someone. Often the people just thought the person was joking.

This has been one of the hardest posts for me to write. It is difficult to talk about as I assume it is for you to read it.

Please look after those around you that you know. They could need help, and you could be the one that provides it for them.
