With just two months to go until U.S. troops are scheduled to leave Afghanistan, the Biden administration is still figuring out how to get Afghan interpreters out of the country. Despite those interpreters taking on unimaginable risks during America’s long stay in Afghanistan, U.S. officials still don’t know the answers to basic questions such as how many people they can move or what countries they can move them to.

A few good Marines will start training with the Army in Colorado soon to learn all about space operations. While they won’t be dropping into hell like the Colonial Marines in ‘Aliens,’ these space marines will get schooled in satellite intelligence, jamming enemy communications and other aspects of Final Frontier fighting.

_______

President Joe Biden’s promise to rescue Afghan interpreters and their families before the Taliban kills them has rung hollow, because no evacuation plan has been finalized and most U.S. troops have already left the country, reports. Now an estimated 70,000 Afghans who worked for the U.S. are in grave danger as the Taliban sweep across the country.

A battalion of Black women who served overseas in World War II could soon receive Congress’ highest award for distinguished achievements. Hundreds of women served in the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, where they were instrumental in getting millions of pieces of mail to service members in Europe. In doing so, they reversed a huge backlog that was hurting morale, and now they could soon receive the Congressional Gold Medal for it.

Here is another excerpt from my upcoming book, Signs of hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life.

Taking Aim On Perfection

One part of basic training was done on the firing range. We all had to learn how to properly line up the sights on our rifles, and shoot at the targets with some accuracy.

I had never shot a weapon before in my life. It was a little intimating at first. The loud noise each time you shot was one thing, but the kick from the weapon on your shoulder was another. You had to how to “hug” the rifle and keep it tight against your shoulder to keep it from kicking.

The first day was mostly learning how to lie down in the right position, and how to wrap the strap properly around your arm and keep the rifle steady. This got boring pretty quickly, but the leaders were determined to having all of us doing it perfectly.

The second day was more exciting. They had us actually shooting at targets. They targets were pop-up type targets. You waited until one popped up and then shot. It tested awareness and your quick judgment. The targets didn’t stay up very long.

I did my shooting and the soldier assigned to me said I was the fastest of hitting all the targets of anyone in my platoon.

Then they moved targets further away These were about 75 yards away. I again was done faster than anyone else and hit all of my targets.

Then we saw some of the men weren’t shooting any more. I was told they missed too many targets. The targets were moved to 100 yards. (The length of a football field.) You really had to concentrate because the targets went up and down pretty fast. I hit all my targets again.

There were only five of us left. They told us the targets will now be 150 yards way. At this time they taught us about “Kentucky windage. ” This is were you aim a little higher on the target and let the wind bring the bullet down to the target.

I had some miss hits, but the first round was just a practice to get us accustom to shooting at the distance. By the end that round I was hitting most of the targets.

The final round came and I was ready. The targets popped up and I shot them. I hit four our of five targets. The rest of the men didn’t do as well. I was named the champion of the shooting range for that day. From all of that I received an expert medal that I still have today.

Military news…

The military’s got a long list of more important things to worry about than ‘wokeness’ and ‘critical race theory, which reminds readers that the national security universe does not revolve around whatever Fox News host Tucker Carlson thinks of it. For example, have you heard of private housing contractors forcing military families to live in mold and rodent-infested houses? Yep, that’s a thing, and it’s still going on.

_______________

A private donor is funding a National Guard deployment and nobody’s sure if it’s legal or not. South Dakota governor Kristi Noem said on Tuesday that up to 50 of her state’s Guardsmen are deploying to Texas to help secure the border with Mexico. Apparently a Tennessee billionaire is paying for it, which has national security experts and legal scholars scratching their heads.

______________

Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, who led the Pentagon at the start of the Global War on Terrorism in 2001, has died at 88. Rumsfeld was SecDef when Jeff first started out reporting on the military, so no one can summarize better, or more succinctly, than Jeff can Rumsfeld’s outsized impact on America’s national security more than 15 years after he left office.

_____________

Sixty Army special operators who fought in the Battle of Mogadishu 28 years ago are having awards they’d previously received for their heroic actions upgraded to Silver Stars and Distinguished Flying Crosses. The 15-hour battle, now known to history as ‘Black Hawk Down,’ saw 18 soldiers killed and dozens wounded in some of the heaviest fighting since the Vietnam War.

______________

There is no hiding the fact that Afghanistan is collapsing in real time and as a result the country will look remarkably similar to how it appeared on Sept. 11, 2001. The Taliban control most of the country, and are now just a two-hour drive from the capital, Kabul.

One thing I really remember about time in the military was the “hurry up and wait” slogan.

I can’t tell you how many times I had to wait for new equipment to come. I struggled with the old beaten up equipment far too long.

Another thing I remember about the military was the closeness the soldiers had. There were no barriers of race or creed. We were all brothers working together to protect our country.

These current thoughts of training the military about racism, is not a waste, but the soldiers already know about racism, and do not use it at anytime.

Very disturbing military news…

The military’s top general was forced to admit something terrible about Joe Biden

“When I first was elected vice president with President Obama, the military sat us down to let us know what the greatest threats facing America were — greatest physical threats. This is not a joke,” Biden stated. “You know what the Joint Chiefs told us the greatest threat facing America was? Global warming.”

North Dakota Republican Senator Kevin Cramer asked Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley if he agreed with Biden.

General Milley – who is one of the “Woke” generals that regularly undermined Donald Trump – was forced to admit – in the gentlest way possible – that Joe Biden had no idea what he was talking about saying Russia and China were far bigger threats to the U.S. military.

“Climate change does impact, but the president is looking at a much broader angle than I am. I’m looking at it from a strictly military standpoint. And from a strictly military standpoint, I’m putting China, Russia up there,” General Milley stated.

But Senator Cramer was not buying that Biden’s remarks for claiming that so-called “climate change” was a bigger threat to American troops than China or Russia.

“I just think it’s peculiar that the president would go to another continent and tell our service members there that the number one threat is climate change,” Senator Cramer stated.

Shocking: Radical Left Brainwashing Our Military

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) speaks during a hearing to examine United States Special Operations Command and United States Cyber Command in review of the Defense Authorization Request for fiscal year 2022 and the Future Years Defense Program, on Capitol Hill in Washington on March 25, 2021. (Andrew Harnik-Pool/Getty Images)

In a Senate hearing with Austin, Cotton claimed that within the military, there’s “plummeting morale, growing mistrust between races and sexes where none existed just six months ago and unexpected retirements and separations based on these trainings alone.”

One whistleblower, Cotton alleged, said that military history training was replaced with training about police brutality, “systemic racism,” and “white privilege.” Another said that his unit had to read “White Fragility” by feminist author and critical theory proponent Robin DiAngelo, according to the senator.

In May, the Space Force confirmed it relieved Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, a former instructor and fighter pilot, as commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron. While it didn’t specifically name the reason why Lohmeier was terminated, the Space Force cited comments made by Lohmeier during a podcast in which he denounced CRT and warned about the spread of Marxism within the Space Force’s ranks.

Cotton suggested that claims the military is attempting to foster diversity with such training are incorrect.

“[It’s] about a very specific kind of anti-American indoctrination that is seeping into some parts of our military, based on the whistleblower complaints we have received,” he said.

Those two articles send up huge warning signals for our military. I just can’t feel that President Biden is supporting our military very much.

Today is American Flag Day. Those of us from the military completely understand the importance of our flag. I get goose bumps every time they play the National Anthem.

Unfortunately there are some to use our flag for political reasons. They even burn it and laugh. They aren’t true Americans. They are people who want to be on TV, and make havoc.

God bless America and our flag. May she wave for ever.
