Show Others How Great a Christian you can be

It has been a while since I last posted. I’ve been traveling, and had lots of work to do. Things have happened since the last post.

I have a new book trailer to share with you. Just click on the link below to see it. It is for my book, “Signs of Hope! Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World.”

This was done by Apex Reviews. I highly recommend them for your book trailer projects.

What does it take to be a good Christian? What changes when we are first re-born? Let me give you some thoughts:

Let’s pretend you are a new car. You have just been put together into a new frame and new engine. You look pretty to all that come to see you.

But what will you do when it is time to perform? What will people think when they see you running.

People will be testing you out everyday to see if you are really as good as you look. They will tempt you. They will wonder how you will do under pressure.

You may not be a Jaguar, but if you are truly a Christian, you will shine and perform beautifully.

Yes, there will be times when you will need a tune-up. That is called church. There will be times when you are not running as smoothly as you would want. That is called prayer time.

Rev up your engine and show others how great a Christian you can be. Win the race, and be the champion.

After you have looked at the book trailer, I hope you will check out the “bookstore,” and see some more about the book.

There is a special sale going on from now through Christmas. (Yes, it is only 55 more day until Christmas!)

In the stores, the book costs $19.99, but on this site it is only $15.99. The shipping has been cut in half as well. A total savings of over $6.00.

Finally, I want you to always remember:

Never, ever, give up!

Perseverance and Persistence, Two Very Important Words

I want to remind you that I will be at the Oregon State Fair at the Oregon author’s table, signing my book, “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World.” The fair starts tomorrow at 10:00am and runs through September 5th. I will be there everyday except the 5th form 10:00am-10:00 pm. Drop by and say hello if you are in the area. The fair is held in Salem Oregon.

I recently was at a Oregon Christian Writer’s Conference in Turner, Oregon,  and learned a great deal. I learned that perseverance and persistence pays off. I scheduled appointments with two agents, and three publishers while I was there.

Both agents wanted me to send them more information on my book, “Signs of Hope: Ways to survive in an Unfriendly World.” They felt it had merit, and may want to represent me in the future. This is the first time any agents were interested.

I met with three publishers. All three took my book and asked me to also send them a proposal. This is the first time any publishers were interested.

Do you see a pattern? I have been to this same Oregon Christian Writer’s Conference for four years. I didn’t even get the time of day from any agents or publishers in the past. I stuck to it and kept improving my work. I listened to the  advice the agents and publishers gave me before to improving my chances.

This year, I put all of it together, and I may have worked hard enough to finally have it pay off.  Perseverance and persistence; two of my favorite words.

99% That we Worry About Never Happens. Give the Rest to God

I just a check in the mail for selling four more books. I am very pleased at the rate the books are selling. My book, “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World,” has sold 204 books in just over four months. That is an average of about 50 a month. I certainly would like more sold, but I am thankful to God for the consistency.

My next goal is to sell 500. That officially gives you the right to say your book is a best seller. (Don’t ask me how that could be. It is in all the marketing books.)

You can certainly help with that by clicking on the tab at the top that says “bookstore,” and ordering a book yourself. I have just been lowered the price from $19.99 to $15.99, AND the shipping price has been cut in half to $2.35. That is a total of $6.00 savings if you order now.

Think about Easter coming up next month. This would be a wonderful gift to give out as an Easter present. It is full of uplifting thoughts, and talks about our risen Savior.

There is only one way this book will be a success, and that is through people like you buying the books, and then telling others. Word of mouth is always the best marketing tool.

I want to tell you about another book I am starting, but this is called a “teaser.” My next post will give you more details. Just one more teaser… it will be about sports.

Think on this:

  • 99% of what we worry about never happens. The other 1% you can turn over to God.
  • When two or more gather together to pray, God will be there with you.
  • When you smile at someone they usually smile back. This gives them more face value.
  • When you make it through a storm in your life, you are that much stronger for the next one.

I am asking for prayer for my good friend Michael Clark, who is my partner on our blog: www.dailysignsofhopecom. He has a very serious surgery coming up, and please pray that God will hold his hand throughout this ordeal and make him whole again.
