Do We Need to be Upset When Storms Come Into Our Lives?

What a last few days I have had:

Last Friday I was changing my mother’s sheets on her bed, and I twisted my back for the third time this month.
I had two nuclear type stress tests last week. I will know the results and what my cardiologist found plus what he may want to do next.
My mother is failing in her health the last two days. She has been passing out often. She has been on hospice care, and the hospice nurse thinks they were actually mini strokes.

Since I am being bombarded with many trials the last few days, I want to share some thoughts I found on my trials during my devotions the last few weeks:

God meets our needs in amazing ways, and we can be involved in other’s lives in the same way. We can be agents of hope. In other words, through my own trials I can help others.
I can be assured that God is active and at work in my life, including my trials, my church, my community, and my world, bringing His purposes and His plan into completion. I learned from this that not matter what I face God has a purpose, and it is a part of His plan.
The wonderful amazing grace, that the Lord has extended to me must be what I model and practice in my relationships with others. Again, I should never be angry or upset because of my trails.

Do I have reason to be upset? I guess so. This last week has been a huge burden on me. The stress has been pulling me down like a huge magnate.

But, I am not. I know God loves me, and I know that all things work for the good of those who believe.

Never let circumstances dictate your life. Keep a steady walk with the Lord, even through the storms and trials.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

When all the doors you have tried seem to be close, and there doesn’t look like a way to accomplish something, that is when God enters the picture. God is higher, deeper, wider, broader, than all wall you may face. he can help you to keep going and win the race.

Never feel that you are alone. God is always there. He created you, and loves you.

If it is finances you worry about, remember God feeds the tiny sparrows. If it is fear, God says “fear not.” If it is needing courage to go on, God is there holding your hand to walk you through the storms and trials.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

I Was Ready to Check Out of This Hotel Called Earth

Wow! What a response for the last post. 5,099 hits for one day is a record that will be hard to beat. What was the title? “We Never Have to Carry Our Sins With us.”

People wanted to know how to get the burden of sins out of their lives. Sins can pull you down like a huge magnate. It doesn’t matter who you are. You could be a teacher, doctor, garbage truck driver, soldier, or a pizza delivery guy.

Satan doesn’t care what you do. He just wants to control you. He uses guilt to push you down, and he hopes you stay down. He delights is seeing you in pain. He delights in seeing you ready to give-up. I know I have been there.

I was at the end of my rope, and ready to be placed on Satan’s trophy wall. He had me right where he wanted me. I was Sitting in my Ford Explorer ready to check out of this hotel called earth.

That is where God came to my rescue. I should have known He was there all the time waiting for me to cry out to Him. That is exactly what I did. I said, “GOD I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

There was an instant calmness in my Explorer. It was as if God was saying, ” IT’s about time you came back to me.”

Yes, I was and the end of that thin rope, but what I didn’t know was that I was really holding on to the hem of God’s robe.

There is never a time when God isn’t near you. If He feels far away, guess who moved.

Always depend on God to see you through your storms and trials. It is when those storms come that He is nearest. He allows them to happen, but He helps calm them.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!
