A government shutdown would slow the pace of replacing weapons stockpiles sent to Ukraine, the Defense Department’s comptroller said, especially if new money for the war against Russia is left out of the ultimate spending package.

At NATO headquarters, members gathered this week to welcome Finland into the alliance fold. They also took stock of Russia’s war in Ukraine, which has raised security concerns that extend beyond Europe.

I have started planning for a huge book signing event in my hometown. It will be at the convention center. I am reaching out to find some sponsors to pay for the room. The room holds 160 people. I will have guest speakers, and have several WWII veterans there.

I hope to have a winery come to sell their wine and give away free drinks. I also hope the winery will donate some bottles to give away at the tables.

Well, the inauguration is over and there weren’t any problems. I guess having over 25,000 plus troops there made a difference. .

I was amazed how calm the inauguration was this morning. Now we will see what happened in the 50 state capitals of our country.
