Gold Star Mom…

Pamela Hall Cropper of Nampa, Idaho, shared that her Rally Around the Flag moment is that of the military funeral service for her son, Curtis, who was killed in Iraq.

“I’m the product of a loving American family. Mom and Dad always taught us to be good citizens and show respect for the flag. One could say I was patriotic – proud of my country and the freedom it represents to the world. However, after my youngest son was killed in Iraq, these feelings intensified.

“On my birthday in 2007, he called from Kirkuk, Iraq. His call is now a treasured memory. The very next day two men in Navy dress blue uniforms came to my home with the news that EOD 2 (Explosive Ordnance Disposal Second Class) Curtis Ralph Hall had been killed in action. A few days later the casket arrived in Twin Falls, Idaho, and my son’s body was escorted by police, a motorcycle service group, and others to a mortuary near our home in Burley. Many came to watch the procession along this 38-mile route. Farmers left their tractors, stood and saluted from their fields as Curtis’ flag-draped coffin passed by. School buses stopped and the children descended to wave goodbye.

“It was Curtis’ sailor friends who, at the cemetery following taps, took the flag from his coffin, folded it into a perfect blue star-covered triangle and presented it to Curtis’ commanding officer. Salutes were exchanged in the most solemn manner as the flag was passed to him. CDR Beck turned, approached, and knelt before me. As he handed me the flag, he emotionally spoke these words, ‘This flag is presented by a grateful nation. It is an expression of appreciation for the honorable and faithful service rendered by your loved one. Please accept my sincere condolences.’

“That flag is now on prominent and permanent display in my home. Since then, whenever I see our flag being publicly displayed, tears come easily and softly to the surface. I cannot help but think of my Curtis and of his sacrifice. In my heart I say, God bless America. May he and others like him never be forgotten.”

I don’t know about you, but I have been getting overwhelmed with all that is going on around me. The Pandemic is still strong. The rioting is still going on, and the wild fires are getting wilder.

Makes it for stressful times.

It reminds me that we may have been in a spin cycle in our own washing machines!

It is about this time I start shouting, “Let me off of this hotel called earth!”

I just hunker down, and face the storm. I recall back to my military days when you knew you couldn’t leave your posts. Defend no matter what.

Presdident Trump is still in the hosptial as of the lastest news I saw.

We need to pray for his quick recovery. What made me spitting mad is that the democrats started attacking him for not wearing a mask. This came from Nancy Pelosi who walked out of her hair day at a salon without a mask. Double standard???

They again have been attacking him for not liking the military. Couldn’t be further from the truth. Any military veteran or current service members know the truth.

They also think he won’t condem the KKK, White Supremist and others. He has condemed them openly at rallys, and interviews.

I would like to talk about my new book coming out again:

It is called, Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life.”

I just have a few interviews left to do and I am done. I have a publishing company that is very interested.

Here is another endorsement from a high ranking female military person:

Signs of Hope for the Military: in and Out of the Trenches of Life, is a must read book for any military, which are hurting from PTD, TBI, anxiety, depression, etc. It has extensive valuable and doable suggestions for successful cope mechanisms. I have also enjoyed Doug Bolton sharing his own stories about his time in the military. He shows that he has been there and done that. This makes him very qualified to offer his advice, guidance and support.

I applaud Doug for his insight and wiliness to share. I know you will too.

Colonel Dona Marie Iversen

+ Colonel Iverson is a high ranking nurse from NYC, New York. She was a commanding flight nurse while she served. She is now ahead of all the nurses in NYC.

I am hearing reports that people are purposely starting the wild fires on the west coast. They have already aressted two men in different parts of Oregon for arson. If one person dies from their stupidity, they should get life in prison.

The wild fires are causing many deaths and burning millions of acres. Complete towns have been wiped out in Oregon. Four towns are gone. One was a big vacation area that was burnt to the ground. Hundreds pf home destroyed. I have one neighbor on my street that has two of her children staying with her, becasue their homes are gone.

Still hearing Fake News claiming that President Trump thinks the military is a bunch of losers, when that has already been proven false. They will do whatever they can to try to make him look bad.

I so admire him for standing strong through all of this Fake News debocle. he is the best presedint for us right now. he is facing the Pandemic, rioting and looting, wild fires in the west, and the democrats creating tons of lies about him. He stands there and takes it like a man. He is in a storm and yet he faces it head on.

The was another death at a military base, and this was not at Ft hood. It was the fourth one this year at Ft Jackson. There has also been many deaths at Ft. Hood. Got to find out what is going on. These are our brothers and sisters that are dying.

I have been battling the VA trying to get compensation. I have two ligit problems I have received while in the military. One is thaat I had to wear ear phones twelve hours a day since I was in the Army Security Agency, and we had to monitor airways for breaches of security. They was often a lot of static going into my ears.

Later on, just before I was suposed to get out of the service, I was in a Jeep accident. I was thrown out of the jeep and landed on a bolder back first. I was knocked unconscious from the whip lash i receive, and woke up later in a military tent on bivwac. I woke up screaming from the pain in my whole back. I was quickly given some morphine and I was better. They never did exrays of my back when I left the military. I have had three back and neck surgeries since.
