House Republicans on Wednesday agreed to slash Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s salary to no more than $1 after berating the top civilian military leader for the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan and the military’s recruitment struggles.

House bill proposes Pentagon pay to move any service member’s remains from a hometown service to a national cemetery Rep. Mike Waltz introduced legislation on Tuesday calling on the Pentagon to cover costs to transport the remains of troops from hometown memorial services to national cemeteries.

Fort Drum soldiers train helicopter jumps on St. Lawrence River

About 70 Fort Drum soldiers were jumping 10 feet out of helicopters and into the St. Lawrence River as part of Helocast training, which simulates the soldiers entering an area of operation.

The possible government shutdown, will hurt many area including our own military. They may stop paying the service members if it shuts down. What a horrible mistake that would be.

Got to figure out congress needs to do to not let that happen.

It is shameful that so many vets, do not have enough food to eat. We need to reach out to them and get them help. the is no reason for them to suffer like this.

Of course many of them will tell you that they were trained to be tough. They feel badly seeking help.
