Biden wants Congress to fund new COVID-19 shots for all Americans
President Joe Biden said the White House would request additional money from Congress to fund the next round of coronavirus vaccine shots. “Tentative it will likely be recommended that everybody get it,” Biden said, while vacationing in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

8 US Marines remain in hospital after fiery aircraft crash killed 3 in Australia

Eight U.S. Marines remained in a hospital in the Australian north coast city of Darwin on Monday after they were injured in a fiery crash of a tiltrotor aircraft that killed three of their colleagues on an island.

US to send air-defense munitions and mine-clearing equipment to Ukraine in new $250M aid package

The United States is sending more military aid to Ukraine worth up to $250 million that ranges from air-defense munitions to mine-clearing equipment, the Pentagon announced.

A new law enacts sweeping changes to make prosecutions for serious offenses like sexual assault or murder more fair. The Navy is still fighting a ProPublica lawsuit to make those court cases public.

North Korea is doing everything they can start a war. Just doesn’t make sense. They have a mighty ground force, but the rest is lacking. With Japan, South Korea, and the US working together it will be a very short war.

If they use nuclear weapons the war will be over in a day.

Artillery shelling in the village of Shiroka Balka, on the banks of the Dnieper River, killed a family and another resident. Meanwhile, a Russian warship on Sunday fired warning shots at a Palau-flagged cargo ship in the south-western Black Sea.

US military ready to assist in Hawaii fire recovery, Pentagon says

The U.S. National Guard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Coast Guard are assisting with recovery efforts in the communities reeling from fires in Maui. No active-duty forces are involved yet.

North Korea confirms it has runaway US soldier in custody

North Korea apprehended Army Pvt. Travis King, 23, after he dashed into the country during a group tour of the heavily guarded Joint Security Area on July 18, according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency.

The Maui fires are heart breaking. Over 106 deaths confirmed. However it is comforting to know that the National Guard, and the Coast Guard are helping out. The Coast Guard saved 14 people’s lives out of the ocean. The National Guard is searching for survivors.

We do not hear to much about these two forces, but they are always there helping.

I had the National Guard help me personally two years ago. It was the height of the pandemic, and I was at the place for people to get their shots.

The lines were huge, but I got in line anyway. As I slowly worked my way forward, a National Guard private came up to me and said, “Follow me.”

He took me past the head of the line into a special area. It looked like it was set up for handicapped people. Since I was using a walker that seemed t be the reason he took me there. Maybe it also could have been that I was wearing an Army hat.

More than 100 National Guardsmen are helping with the wildfire response.

It s a very disheartening time in Hawaii. The Island of Maui is engulfed with wild fires. Their Biggest city is destroyed. Over 50 people have died. Many more are expected.

The heart warming news is that the Coast Guard, and the National Guard are out there saving lives. The Coast Guard pulled in over ten people who were drowning in the water they had to jump into to save their lives.

These two branches don’t get their due very often. Thank you!!
