I didn’t post Yesterday. My body ran out of gas. It is very hard for me to miss talking to you and a apologize for being so old and short on energy.

It has been a nerve ranking time in our country The pandemic, rioting, wildfires, etc. It is hard to be peachy keen. I battle with it everyday right now.

__________________________________________

During the Pandemic, I am on lock down. I can’t do anything without risking my life. I have several health issues that the virus would love to attack. I feel fortunate that I have made it over 7 months and have avoided it. I thank God for that.

__________________________________________

I have found ways around the lock down. I go for walks in my neighborhood. I get a lot of steps in. My wife has joined me so it is extra special.

We go on drives to no where. We just get in the car and go. We have found many cool things that we didn’t know was near us.

Luckily I also love to read, so my Kindle is red hot from being run so much.

Well, the presidential race is nearing the end. Lots of bashing by both sides. I see so much negative information about the Biden side, I am going hard for Trump. He has done a wonderful job his first four years, and there is no reason to replace him.

As for the military. There are sending more troops home from Iraq, and Afghanistan. It is perfect timing in my opinion. They will be home for the holidays, and will be able to be with family.

I see National Guard troops at some of the big cities Guess what…No rioting. It is those big cities run by democrats that won’t allow the National Guard in that has the rioting, looting, arsons, and even death.

What is wrong with this picture!

They are bringing more troops home from Iraq.

It is a good move to get our troops home for the holidays. I am hoping they will also start sending more troops home from Afghanistan.

They deserve to come home and be with family.

There was a shooting death

at the riots in Denver, Colorado yesterday. A man was shot in the face and killed instantly. The shooter was a hired security guard with Pinkertons security. Apparently the man shot had slapped the shooter in the face. Is that worth killing someone?

There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason for the violence, other than to cause chaos and destruction. It is not about black people being killed anymore. It is called Anarchies to the fullest.

I am worried

about our fellow veterans who are left out in the cold. I mean for real. There are far too many veterans who are homeless. Hard to explain why, but they are out on the streets having to beg for support. They served their country only to have to live out in the cold. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!!!

I cover the homeless veterans in my new book

Signs of Hope for the military: In and Out of the trenches of Life. There is a whole chapter reaching out to them.

I also cover spouses who are left behind when there is deployment. I also speak about the male spouses who are left behind, and how it is harder for them.

An update on how the book is going.

I have a publisher that I am in contact with and they seem very interested. They sound solid, and if we can can agree on a few things we will work together.

I only have a few more interviews, and then to format the book. It has already been professionally edited.

I will keep you posted as to the actual publication date.

Doug Bolton, the founder of the blog, Signs of Hope, which is at www.dailysignsofhope.com, has written a new book, “Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life.” It reaches out the many military and veterans who may be battling anxiety, fear, depression, addictions, rejections, and the many other usual suspects. There are 22 military connected suicides every day. That is almost one every hour. Doug wants to help stop those statistics.

This is a new social network just for veterans. I joined it and made instant friendships with veterans who want to talk about what I want to talk about. Please check it out. You will be glad you did.

We have just added a fantastic product for people who are suffering from PTSD. I have looked at the video myself. It is a little long, but it is very valuable. Go to   https://sites.google.com/site/v4vweaponspackage/  to see for yourself. It will change your life if you suffer from PTSD.

I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving. I am moving around like a sloth! My wife and I went to three places to celebrate Thanksgiving.

We started out at our daughter’s home for a wonderful feast, and much talking.

Then we went to my wife’s sister’s house and they had a table full of food as well. We selected choices that weren’t what we had to eat at the first place.

And Lastly, we went to my wife’s brother’s home where they had dessert. There was so many choices, I had to try them all!!!

I am paying for it today. I have been on four walks trying to work some of it off. I will sure need a nap today!

One of the things we discussed around the table at our first stop, (My granddaughter suggested this) was that each family member shared what they were thankful for, and some were pretty funny. Our youngest granddaughter (7) said, “I am thankful for this family I have.” Almost tear time there.

Then it came to my turn. I was last and there were so many others that said things I probably could have said, but I immediately thought of all the service members who weren’t home with their families on thanksgiving. I told my family, we need to be thankful for all those who are deployed and having their day in the trenches.

We must never forget. I am a veteran, and I missed a few holidays with family. The first one was very tough. I was only eighteen years old and in Korea.

If you have a family member who is deployed I feel your pain. I had a son in  the military and he had two tours in Iraq. He was in harms way , and I was sitting and watching football games with the family.

Those who serve are heroes. Every single one of them. Be thankful for them. They are there so we can have our Thanksgiving without fear.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

Your are never unloved.

Adn above all…never, ever, give up!
