I am going to get political for a few lines.

Our country seems to be going in the wrong direction. The leadership is doing things I do not agree with:

  1. The Southern border…That is a joke! Doesn’t seem to be any restraints of who can come across the border. Drugs are getting through also. Terrorist are crossing the border as well. Needs to be cleaned up.
  2. Inflation…I have heard that people aren’t buying Hygiene products now, because of the cost. That could end up being smelly.
  3. Gas prices…Sky rocketing.
  4. Interest rates… They are so high no one can afford to buy a home.

Take Inventory of Your Life. What Do you See?

What can we do as parents to be a good example to our children? We should realize that everything we do is being watch by them.

We are living in an, “Monkey see, monkey do,” world. If you are a kind and understanding parent, your children will probably be kind and understand. If you drink, your children will probably drink. If you take drugs, your children will probably take drugs. I think you get the picture.

Take an inventory of your life. What do you see? Is your life one you would be glad for your children to have?

I wasn’t always the perfect parent. Sometimes far from it, but I stuck to my Christian principles, and raised children that did the same. All three of my children are Christians, and they married Christian spouses.

You can say my job is done here on earth, but we are to be examples until we take our last breath.

Talk about a dreary, depressing, title! However the words used are ones that are getting to common in our world today. I didn’t even mention battles we face like: self doubt, depression, fear, low self esteem, hopelessness, and the many other usual suspects.

www.dailysignsofhope.com just started up three days ago and it reaches out to those who suffer with all of the afflictions I just mentioned.

There will post there by: David Brown,  Michael Clark, and yours truly, Doug Bolton. We will take turns posting our thoughts on how to cope in this not so friendly world. Go there and check it out.

That is what my book, Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World, is all about. It is a book that talks about my own battles with all of these demons and how I conquered. I also share how you can conquer them too.
