The Ukrainian military said Monday that it recaptured strategic gas and oil drilling platforms from Russia in the Black Sea and claimed gains in occupied areas near Bakhmut.

Sweden said Monday it wants to increase its defense budget by 28%, putting it on track to reach the military spending target 2% of gross domestic product set by the NATO alliance, which the Scandinavian country is preparing to join.

Four-star to Push for Top Unit Award for Airmen Involved in Kabul Evac

Few troops have received a Presidential Unit Citation for “exceptional heroism”—similar to the individual-level Distinguished Service Cross—during the war in Afghanistan. I am now listening to, on TV, the words from Gold Star Parents. There is much anger and tears from each of them. They are sharing how much they loved their children. They are sharing how broken they are from losing their loved ones.

The tears fell from their faces. They couldn’t stress how angry they are with how the Afghan withdraw was conducted. It didn’t have to happen.

I feel their pain. I can’t imagine losing one of my children. It Just DIDN”T have to happen.

I am sitting her listening to my nephew whistling for the first time. He is overwhelmed with joy, and so am I.

As I look at him I realize why I served my country. Freedom is not free, and because of the millions of veterans, and current service men we have that freedom, and my nephew does too.

I am on vacation. I am in Sun River, Oregon. It is a fabulous vacation spot. Something for everyone, and lots of sun.

As I look out the window, I can see deer grazing. I can see people riding bikes. It makes me feel good to see so many beautiful animals, and people enjoying themselves.

BTW… there is a 150 pound German Shepard dog waiting for anyone who is brave enough to try to break in to our home.. He will chew you up.
