Both the House and Senate Armed Forces committees approved a provision to the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act that allows for additional funds for the Navy’s Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-­Nuclear program, better known as SLCM-N.

A newly downgraded U.S. intelligence finding says the Russian Ministry of Defense is in the process of purchasing millions of rockets an artillery shells from North Korea for its ongoing fight in Ukraine.

First Woman Leads Africa Command

U.S. Army Major General Jami Shawley took command o the U.S. Military’s mission in eastern Africa in May. Shawley, a 1992 West Point graduate, is the first woman to lead the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, which is based at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti.
