I was walking in the mall the other day, and I had my Army cap on. One young man thanked me for my service as he went by. I felt very proud to have served at that moment.

Have you been thanked for your service? Well, if not you are getting it now. THANK YOU! You served your country and should be proud. There was a lot of sacrifice as we served. However, that was what we signed up for. I would do it again in a New York minute.

In one of my interviews in my upcoming book, Signs of hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of life, Captain Bob Coury had a company of men stationed in Okinawa. Their only job was to unload the ships as they came into the Okinawa harbor. Sounds easy, except for the fact that Japanese pilots were bombing them, and even flying their planes into the ships.

Read the whole story when you get the book.
