Military news…

F-16s won’t be a ‘game-changer’ for Ukraine in its war with Russia, Air Force secretary says

Ukraine will get a boost on the battlefield against invading Russian forces once its pilots train and begin to fly F-16 fighter jets, but Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall said Monday that the aircraft won’t make a dramatic change in the war.

Do you have to stay at your post if you are injured? I was told yes, while deployed to South Korea. I was working on hill 468 one day and the equipment stopped running. I went out to check the generator and it was out of gas. The person before me was supposed to fill it.

I got some gas containers and climbed up on the generator. I was pouring gas into the generator when I slipped. All I could grab to break my fall was the manifold. It was super hot and it burned my left hand tremendously. I went back inside the hut and tried to bandage the wound. I had some ointment and spread it on the hand that was severely burnt. I wrapped it up with some gauze.

It was extremally painful. What should I do? I could have called down to the headquarters and sought help. However, I didn’t want to mess up the working schedule. I lived in pain and finished my shift.

Was I a hero? Of course not, but I was gratified that I didn’t make things worse.

I saw the medics when I got down to the camp, and they put much better dressings on my hand. I only lost a couple of days of work.

Not very much current military news today. I guess that is a good thing.

Saw an article that was an interview with a Army General on his views of the Ukraine war. He was very clear that the Russians were undertrained, and not capable of being a good fighting force.

Using prisoners is a disaster. They have no training and are sent to the front lines to be slaughtered.

The assistance from the United States has made a huge difference. Ukrainians are be trained with the latest weapons.

Russia is using WWII type weapons, and it shows.

The generals prediction is that the war will end in negotiations.

I am now down to just three interviews left and then it is off to the publisher, BookBaby. Thos interviews are:

  1. Charles Strange- a Gold Star father
  2. Milton Hoch- a Vietnam veteran.
  3. A submariner who was on a nuclear sub.

These three interviews will be exciting. The Vietnam interview will be riveting, and most interesting.

Interesting that the White House thinks it is not as serious to find classified documents in Biden’s residences. They still think Trump’s documents are much worse. A clear cover up in my opinion.
