I don’t know about you, but I have been getting overwhelmed with all that is going on around me. The Pandemic is still strong. The rioting is still going on, and the wild fires are getting wilder.

Makes it for stressful times.

It reminds me that we may have been in a spin cycle in our own washing machines!

It is about this time I start shouting, “Let me off of this hotel called earth!”

I just hunker down, and face the storm. I recall back to my military days when you knew you couldn’t leave your posts. Defend no matter what.

Presdident Trump is still in the hosptial as of the lastest news I saw.

We need to pray for his quick recovery. What made me spitting mad is that the democrats started attacking him for not wearing a mask. This came from Nancy Pelosi who walked out of her hair day at a salon without a mask. Double standard???

They again have been attacking him for not liking the military. Couldn’t be further from the truth. Any military veteran or current service members know the truth.

They also think he won’t condem the KKK, White Supremist and others. He has condemed them openly at rallys, and interviews.

I would like to talk about my new book coming out again:

It is called, Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life.”

I just have a few interviews left to do and I am done. I have a publishing company that is very interested.

Here is another endorsement from a high ranking female military person:

Signs of Hope for the Military: in and Out of the Trenches of Life, is a must read book for any military, which are hurting from PTD, TBI, anxiety, depression, etc. It has extensive valuable and doable suggestions for successful cope mechanisms. I have also enjoyed Doug Bolton sharing his own stories about his time in the military. He shows that he has been there and done that. This makes him very qualified to offer his advice, guidance and support.

I applaud Doug for his insight and wiliness to share. I know you will too.

Colonel Dona Marie Iversen

+ Colonel Iverson is a high ranking nurse from NYC, New York. She was a commanding flight nurse while she served. She is now ahead of all the nurses in NYC.

Found some more interesting facts. These are from the 9-11 attacks:

(We should never forget!)

  1. 19 highjackers.
  2. 2,977 people killed in New York City, Washington D.C., and outside Shanksville, PA.
  3. 2,753 people killed at the World Trade Center.
  4. 343 firefighters who died in the initial attacks and during the collapse of the towers.
  5. 23 police officers who died.
  6. 37 Port Authority officers during the attacks and the collapse.
  7. 184 people when flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.
  8. 40 people died when flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, PA.

A total of 6,320 people lost their lives on that horrible day.

I am switching my thoughts to my up coming book, Signs of Hope for the Military: In an Out of the Trenches of Life.

I am going to give you the outline again. It has been awhile since I last did that:

  1. The first section will stories from my basic training. This will have humor, some tense moments, and proud moments. At the end of each chapter I will be sharing thoughts on how you and I can survive in the not so firendly world as civilians.
  2. The second section will have stories from my deployment to Korea. It also will have some humor, tense moments, and unfortantly some very sad moments.
  3. The third section will sotries from my time at FT. Bragg. again, a little humor, but a few very scary moments.
  4. The last section is my favorite part. It is full of interviews from veterans who have been there and done that. Some of these stories are very scary, sad, humorous, and fansicnating. I have WWII, Korean, Iraq, Vietnam, and Afghanstan, interviews from soldiers.

I am going to share you an interview today. It is about a WWII veteran who had a near death experience.

I will name him in the book, but not now.

He was in France and he and four of his buddies were pinned down. I mean really pinned down by enemy fire. You can think about trenches to hide in, but these poor guys could only lay flat in furrows. Those are what is left after a plow comes through. If they stuck up any part of thier body they were dead.

My friend heard something coming up behind him. It was the tank Corp. They pulled over the top of him; opened the hatch, and pulled him in. They did that with the other four buddies as well. They didn’t know heroes had their backs.

I hoe you are getting excited about this upcoming book. It is perfect for all veterans, and even current military. It will give you hope and answers. Some of the chapters talk directly about issues:

  1. PTSD
  2. TBI
  3. War wounds
  4. depression, Suicidial thoughts
  5. People left behind after deployment
  6. Much more

There will be a great index as well. It will be full of places to get help for any of your issues.

I am sitting on my patio in the backyard. It is 89 right now. I am in the shade, but still feeling hot. Can’t be in the house, because there is a cleaning lady working in there.

I have talked to you before about Portland, Oregon. It is in my home state. I am embarrassed of what is going on.

Yesterday a little old lady had paint thrown into her face and was harassed by a jerk that was three times her size. Such a sick person to pick on little old ladies.

More and more veterans are getting involved with the rioting. They are there to try to stop the rioting, not escalating them. They are in harm’s way again, in a different way. However, several “Anarchist,” got bloodied up, and went running.

The Oregon State Police are now trying to stop the rioting. It has been 70 straight days of rioting there. I am sure that by now the rioters don’t even know what they are rioting for. They just like to intimidate, and harass.

I am connecting up with many veterans on Facebook lately. I get five or six new friends who are veterans each day. If you what like to hook up with me, just go to Facebook and put Doug Bolton in the search area. I would be honored to connect with you.

In March of 2001, I was the end of my rope, I was hanging on for dear life. I was out of control and tired of being here on this hotel called earth. I was in my Ford Explorer, and crying my eyes out. I turned into a school parking away from everyone and contemplated ending my life. I told God, “I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!”

Suddenly there was a calmness inside of the vehicle. I stopped crying and felt much better all of a sudden. It was if God was saying, “It’s about time you came back to me. Now let me lead you the rest of the way. “

That changed my life! I drove home and decided I needed to reach out to other people that were desperate like me and give them hope. My first book was published called, “Signs of Hope; Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World.” It later won a national award, from the Readers Favorite Awards.

How are you doing?

Are the days long and hard to handle? Are there times you feel you are not coping?

You have many fellow veterans here on this site. Some of them are going through what you are going through. They have your six, so reach out to them.

If it is too overbearing like it was for me, there is a toll free number to call 24/7. There are highly trained counselors there to help you.
