Why do we need the Bible? It is just a book. It has thousands of pages. It is sometimes hard to read.  Why bother?

I thought that many years ago. As a matter of fact my grandmother gave me a beautiful Bible. However, I never read it much because I was afraid I was going to tear the pages, and soil it.

I’m sure that is not what my grandmother had in mind at all. She probably wanted to it look worn, and have many dog ears in it.

I have learned that the Bible is full of living water. The words flow out like a river of love that refreshes us each day. It give us the armor we need to survive as Christians.

Unlike some people who have put their Bible up in the attic, which only give the rats some paper for their nest, we should read the Bible every day.

I realize this sounds a little harsh, but I was guilty of doing that with my grandmother’s Bible she gave me.

I don’t have anymore excuses. I know how important the Bible is for our daily plans in life.

What about you? Do you know where your Bible is? Do you read it often?

The Words from the Bible should be “music to our ears,” and give us hope in a not so friendly world.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

It is very exciting to hear of the successes of other writers.

Does that statement seem odd to you? Should we be wanting the “competition,” to do well?

The answer is, of course we should. Each writer is on their own mission. They have their own genre that they are pursuing.

Many times their success is in a genre that is totally different from yours, and wouldn’t affect your sales.

Even if they are writing the same exact genre and are a huge success, don’t you think other people will want to read more books that are in that genre?

The bottom line is that success is needed in the publishing world. We need to have many  authors become well known. We need to have many genre’s be successful.

Why does it always have to be such a rough road for a Christians after they accept Christ into their life? Granted, not all Christians have problems, but many do, and they  wonder why God would allow it once they have come into the fold.

God never promised us a rose garden once we start living a Christian life. He sometimes allows the storms to come, like what is happening n the east coast of the United States right now. He allows them but He also helps calm the storms.

We will face persecution and hard times as Christians. I see it as the least I can do for our Lord who went through so many storms, pain and agony for me.

Remember:

You are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are not unloved.

And above all… Never, ever, give up!

You are probably asking, ” How did you even get a chance to win this award?” There are many places that have books awards. Just put in “book awards” in your Google search area, and start submitting today. You never know, you may have sticker sent to you, as well, that will help you sell many more books.

How do we show love to others that lets them know we are Christians.

This has been a question that many have asked others.

Let me share the story of Paul. He hated Christians/Jews. He persecuted the Jews, and put some to death. He even held the coats of the men who stoned Stephen to death.

He was walking to Damascus, which is still part of Syria today, and met Jesus. Jesus said, “Saul, Saul, Why do your persecute me?” Saul was then named Paul, before the LORD changed it.

Paul was awe stuck, and fell to the ground. He turned his life over to the LORD right on the spot, and he then went all around the country telling others about Jesus . He shared the need to spread love to everyone.

Why this long story? You and I don’t need to walk on the road to Damascus to know that we can share love with others by sharing our faith like Paul did. We can talk about how The Lord open our hearts and minds to Him, and how that changed our lives.

It doesn’t take a person who is highly educated to share the gospel, or tell stories about their own lives. It just take a person who loves others enough to be concerned for their souls.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken,

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!
