I haven’t posted for almost two months. I have had adversity in its highest form, and it has slowed me down.
I lost my mother on February 1st. She was 95 years old, but there is still a time of grieving when you lose a loved one. I also had some health issues with my heart. I have A-Fib, and a damaged heart from a previous heart attack.
I also lost a dear friend within hours of my mother’s death.
I am back now, and still strong with the Lord. All this adversity seemed to make me even stronger. It made me think of how short a life time we have on this earth, and that we need be thankful for every day we have.
As I mentioned up in the lead in area my book, “Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World, has been out in eBook form for about a year. However, we just lowered the price from $4.99 to $2.99. That is quite a savings. Please check it out by clicking on the Amazon icon on the right. Think of Easter coming and how it could help many through the storms of life.
Remember:
You are never alone.
You are never forsaken.
You are never unloved.
And above all…never, ever, give up!

Thoughts just for you…
The Christian life is a process of becoming more and more like Christ. (Romans 8:29)
We need to purify ourselves. What does purify mean? It means to keep morally straight, free from the corruption of sin. God also purifies us, but there is action we must take to remain morally fit. (I Timothy 5:12) (James 4:8) (Ipeter 1:22.)
We need to also know the difference in commiting a sin and continuing to sin. Even the most faithful sometimes commit sins, but they don’t cherish a particular sins and choose to commit it. A believer who commits a sin repents, confesses and finds forgiveness. A person who continues to sin, is not sorry for what they are doing. Thus this person never confesses and never receives forgiveness. Such a person is in opposition to God no matter what religious claims they make.
Three steps are necessary to find victory over sin:
- Seek the power of the Holy Spirit and God’s word.
- Stay away from tempting situations.
- Seek the help of the body of Christ. Be open to their willingness to hold you accountable and pray for you.
So, live your life in a way that you can feel peace with your heavenly Father. Obey His ways, and believe that He sent His only Son down to this earth to die for you and me.
Remember:
You are not alone.
You are not forsaken.
You are not unloved.
Above all… never, ever, give up!

Thoughts just for you…
How many times have you felt alone, depressed, lost, and forsaken? I have been through all of those feeling at one time or another. I was down drowning in the muck and mire, and wondering if I was going to make it.
How did I let myself get to that point? It is all the work of the prince of this world. You can call him Satan or devil, it is the same guy.
He knows when we are at our weakest moments. He is like a roaring lion waiting to devour us. ( I Peter 5: 8) We have to be alert to all of his tricks.
When we try to wing it on our own is when Satan is at his best. To wing it is like jumping off a cliff without those wings. Your chances are slim or none that you are going to make it.
We need to keep God on speed dial and rely on Him to protect us from the evil one. If we stead fastly cling to God’s promises we will not falter. With God on our side, who can be against us?
Turn your fears, hurts, illnesses, defeats, etc, over to God. He has much bigger shoulders to lean on, and He will take you by the hand and pull you out of that muck and mire. I know he did for me.
Remember:
You are not alone.
You are not forsaken.
You are not unloved.
And above all….Never, ever, give up!
